RInfra commissions 5th transmission line in Gujarat

Anil Ambani led Reliance Infrastructure Ltd (RInfra) has commissioned a 400 kV double circuit transmission line between Ranchodpura (Vadavi) and Zerda (Kansari) in Gujarat.

The 140-km long transmission line, which is part of the 1,500-km western regional system strengthening (WRSS) will connect key business centres of Gujarat such as Disa, Patan and Kadi. The Rs.1,400-crore project is sure to boost the economic growth of the region. Out of three, two transmission lines have now been commissioned in Gujarat. However, the third line between Raigarh and Karamsad will be commissioned soon. “Out of nine, fi ve transmission lines have been successfully commissioned. We are committ ed to complete the project by FY12 and facilitate the power fl ow from the eastern region to the western region of the country,” Mr. Lalit Jalan, CEO and director, RInfra was quoted as saying.
